Although he couldn’t place his finger on it upon arriving as a freshman, he can now verbalize why he felt called to AU, “I felt it in my gut, or my heart, that there was something here for me. The community of students, faculty, and staff is a major reason Gomez loves AU. “Most of the business students I know, to some degree, have a good relationship with at least one professor.” “That’s that drew me here: how intentional professors were to get to know their students,” Gomez said. Intentionality has proven to play a crucial part in his life, especially in choosing a school. Gomez focused on one word when discussing his decisions and success: intentionality. If that isn’t enough, he is also part of the honors program. He participates in numerous clubs and activities on campus including Student Leaders, Peer Mentors, Avanti Boosters, and helping in the Cultural Resource Center. He now has a concentration in project management and is graduating an entire year early. Gomez entered Anderson University as a sports marketing student but eventually found the combination of finance and management to be a better fit. The very definition of an extrovert, Gomez considers himself an “unofficial member of almost every club on campus” because of his spontaneous attendance at various club meetings ⎯ an impressive feat when juggling business and honors classes. Whether in a business class, walking through the Valley, heading to an Avanti Boosters meeting or studying in Mocha Joe’s, senior Eduardo Gomez is rarely not chatting or laughing with someone.
